The Best Free Web Hosting Service Around
64I was looking around recently for free web hosting services and I came across this fantastic option that I didn't know about previously. Its called Yola (was formerly called Synthasite). You can build a site using their beautiful templates and both site building and hosting is completely free of charge. I've gone over their FAQ and there is no catch - it is completely free as long as you choose to host on a subdomain (i.e. mysite.synthasite.com). The words "synthasite.com" would appear at the end of your site address. If you want to purchase your own domain (i.e. mysite.com), then you would have to pay $19.95 per year. For first-time website builders, hosting on the free subdomain should be good enough. Apparently, you can also build as many sites as you want with one account.
They also have a comprehensive FAQ section and tutorial section to explain the process of site building, generating meta tags, site verification, etc. The process of creating the website itself is quite simple with drag-and-drop features. You can just drag and drop various widgets into your page element. So, for example, you can add a simple forum and various other interesting widgets to enrich your site. They say that there is a 15 MB limit on uploading individual files but there is no limit on the total number of files that can be uploaded. Also, there is no limit on the bandwidth for your site. They have all of this on their website - looks pretty credible to me.
Ability To Add Adsense Without Any Revenue Sharing
The best thing of all is that they allow you to add Google Adsense on websites created through them. The process is really simple - you can just drag and drop the Adsense widget to the appropriate places on the webpage and add the Adsense code - takes just seconds to implement. Also, importantly, they do not impose banner ads or pop-up ads on your site - one of the major drawbacks of other free web hosting services.
All in all, looks like a great free web hosting option for first-time website builders. You don't have to be a techie or geek to buid a website using Yola.

that sounds like a great deal to me! Only 20 bucks a year? Can't beat that!
does Yola take a cut of the revenue from Adsense and how long does one have to have a good, content-rich website up and running before being approved by Adsense? I'm a total newbie...
Shil1978 Are you a staff of yola?
Shil1978 thanks for the tip I will have a look at it. Do you have anything to add about Yola since you posted this Hub ?
This sounds really good. I have been using 50Webs for quite some time now and they are great also.

Yeah... I tried it and was so confused as to what to drag or drop or paste. Maybee I'll get the hang of it... if I spend more time at it. I have to add that it is one of the better ones around... and I tried a lot too...
